Florian Rago is an extraordinary young British violinist possessing a ‘dazzling display of virtuosity and hypnotic panache’ (ISM Journal, UK).  Performances have taken Rago across Europe, North America and Japan, most recently at the Northern Lights Music Festival in the United States.  Upcoming performances will be in Germany, Romania, UK and Japan.

He is the recipient of many awards including the prestigious Hattori Foundation Award, Margot MacGibbon Award, Regalian Scholar, Ibla Grande Prize Ysaye Award, Moir Carnegie Award and the Lilian Ada Bursary.

Rago Studied at the Royal College of Music with Dona Lee Croft and at the Royal Academy with Igor Petrushevski.  This year he is commencing studies at the newly founded Richard Wagner Conservatoire in Vienna with Petrushevski.  As part of the school he will take part in televised masterclasses with world renowned Zakhar Bron.
